Tips to Create a Biz Blog

September 21, 2008

How many of you are running business? How many of you know about “blog“? How many of you know how to use “blog” for your business? I was amazed that, in an IT event, very few people raised their hands up for this last question. Here are some simple steps for you to create a business blog.

1 – Know about your biz: mission, vision, services/products, activities.

2 – Write about your biz: type those elements in Word or texts.

3 – Surf on competitor or similar web sites: to gain an overview of what your blog should look like.

4 – Benchmark from them: to emulate their best practices and avoid their flaws.

5 – Sign in a blog site and design your blog: e.g. www.wordpress.com, www.blogspot.com, and many others.

6 – Update your blog with contents, posts, news: to get visitors to stay attached with your site!

7 – Encourage people to visit your blog: marketing (through friends, emails, events, leaflets, stickers…). It’s all because your blog is created to promote awareness and eventually sales for your business. So the more people visit your business online, the more likely they buy your products/services.

8 – Add features: subscribe (to update visitors of news by email), tell friends (to let them refer the leads to your blog), forum (to make your blog even more interactive and dynamic), online store (to ease distant transaction)… These features are not usually available in blog sites themselves. However, you can ask them for help by searching for what you want in their support section.

9 – Maintain it: by regularly watching your statistics of visits. (Some blog sites may not give you this option.)

The fact that you’re reading this article means you’re already visiting part of my blog. The only inconvenience of blog is that you’re not allowed to customize it as much as you can do over a web site. The blog phenomenon is relatively new, yet cost-efficient and easy to use and link up over Internet. No time to lose. Go and blog your business now!

For your information, www.dmihrd.wordpress.com is not just a blog for business, but also about business. Pick up some business ideas or attributes in our article categories or, at best, attend our training!

September 17, 2008

Do you believe that we cannot succeed without support of other people? This is what one of our participant expressed whole-heartedly during our last six-hour training on September 14th. It’s also the characteristic of this course: networking and opening doors of opportunities!

Apart from individual participation, we welcome professionals and businesspeople from such industries as trading, winery, technology, real estate. Below are some of the feedback we collected from our participants.

“The best, compared to any University subject I’ve learnt” – Bun Phearith, Real Estate Agent.

“The training helps me to grow my business” – Castro F. Osemeka, (Nigerian) CEO.

“Excellent! Wish the session took longer” – Kong Kunthearith, Sales Manager.

“Great chance for me to expand my business network” – Leng Kerry, Quality Supervisor.

The Rule of Lao Tzu

September 15, 2008

Lao Tzu became very famous, a wise man, and he was without doubt one of the wisest men ever. The emperor of China asked him very humbly to become his chief of the Supreme Court, because nobody could guide the country’s laws better than he could. He tried to persuade the emperor, “I am not the right man,” but the emperor was insistent.

Lao Tzu said, “If you don’t listen to me… just one day in the court and you will be convinced that I am not the right man, because the system is wrong. Out of humbleness I was not saying the truth to you. Either I can exist or your law and order and your society can exist. So… let us try it.”

The first day a thief who had stolen almost half the treasures of the richest man in the capital was brought into the court. Lao Tzu listened to the case and then he said that the thief and the richest man should both go to jail for six months.

The rich man said, “What are you saying? I have been stolen from, I have been robbed—what kind of justice is this that you are sending me to jail for the same amount of time as the thief?”

Lao Tzu said, “I am certainly being unfair to the thief. Your need to be in jail is greater, because you have collected so much money to yourself, deprived so many people of money… thousands of people are downtrodden and you are collecting and collecting money. For what? Your very greed is creating these thieves. You are responsible.

The first crime is yours.”

Social responsibility is also part of DMI’s mission. Unlike what most people think, true rich people learn to share their abundance in order to create life balance. So in our training, we make sure you understand not only the secrets to success, but also the formulas to happiness.

Don’t Quit – Video Poem

September 11, 2008

You may need high-speed Internet connection to view this video as smoothly as you want.

Most people don’t comply with this poem. They like jumping from job to job or business to business just to earn a little more money. At the end of the day, they still feel hungry because they stayed focused long enough on one goal at a time. Do you wish to avoid this unneccessary race. Join us in our next event!

Wealth File #11

September 4, 2008

Rich people choose to get paid based on results.

Poor people choose to get paid based on time.

Poor people prefer to be paid a steady salary or hourly wage. They need the ’security’ of knowing that exactly the same amount of money is coming in at exactly the same time, month in, month out. What they don’t realize is that this security comes with a price, and the cost is wealth.

Living based in security is living based in fear. What you are actually saying is “I’m afraid I won’t be able to earn enough based on my performance, so I’ll settle for earning just enough to survive or be comfortable.”

Rich people prefer to get paid based on the results they produce. Rich people usually own their own business in some form. They make their income from their profits. Rich people work on commissions or percentages of revenue. Rich people choose stock options and profit sharing in lieu of higher salaries. Notice that there are no guarantees with any of the above.

Rich people believe in themselves. They believe in their value and their ability to deliver it. Poor people don’t. That’s why they need ‘guarantees’.

Never have a ceiling on your income.

by T. Harv Eker

Result-oriented – this is one of the attributes DMI cultivates inside every participant. More often than not, we want you to be your own boss for no matter what you do. If you or your friend wish to find out how our training can help you achieve greater results, come and experience our training as soon as you can.
